This day features a panel discussion including family members impacted by mental
health and suicide; and professionals who provide support to youth and families. Together,
potential solutions for care and suicide prevention could be available for attendees.

WHY: Because Children’s Mental Health Matters
Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day seeks to increase understanding about the
importance of children’s emotional and mental health challenges. It can also increase
public awareness about these challenges and foster resilience in families.
We are focusing on suicide prevention and providing resources to help benefit youth,
young adults, parents, and professionals. The mission of this event is to prevent suicide
and support those affected by suicide.
